So, the Honor 7X is equipped with the proprietary KIRIN 659 chipset, which scored about 75 thousand points in AnTuTu, which is quite a high result for a smartphone of such a low cost. But the Honor 7C, which we already reviewed in this article, has a weaker processor, Snapdragon 450. But its score is slightly lower - about 58 thousand points. In principle, in everyday work this difference is not particularly noticeable, but in games the 7C will feel more confident, since the Adreno 506 graphics chip clearly copes with its tasks better than Mali. All have the same amount of RAM, and the user has the opportunity to choose a version with 3GB or 4GB. But it’s best to look at a larger volume, since 4GB is the best option for 2021. But don't rush to jump to conclusions and settle on the Honor 7C if you like to play games. The quality of the screen is also of great importance and we will talk about this now.

Honor 7X has perhaps the best screen of all the models that will be included in this article. Firstly, with a diagonal of 5.93 inches, it has a high FullHD+ resolution. And secondly, a high pixel density of 407ppi, while the Honor 7C has a 6-inch diagonal, HD+ resolution and a low pixel density of 269ppi. No, this is certainly enough for an undemanding user; the picture will still be good and will not be an eyesore. But if you need better image quality, then of course the 7X wins completely.

Now it’s worth moving on to the cameras and understanding whether they can take decent photos or not? First, let's talk about the shooting capabilities of the Honor 7X. For the money, it is capable of producing excellent photos in normal lighting. They turn out rich, with good detail and normal white balance. If we talk about the cheaper Honor 7C model, then the camera is not at all pleasing. Even in good lighting, photos turn out somewhat blurry and gray. The front cameras are practically the same from each other, and they are absolutely enough for making video calls.

In appearance, these two smartphones are almost identical. They do not have frameless screens, so they have a classic look. Below the screen is the Honor logo, and the back panel is made entirely of metal and houses a fingerprint scanner. The only difference is the appearance of the camera. If in Honor 7X two modules and the flash are located separately from each other, then in 7C they are on the same panel. What looks more beautiful is up to you to decide. These two smartphones come in four colors: gold, red, blue and black, so the user will have plenty to choose from.

What's better - a large display that's easy to watch videos on, or a compact phone that fits easily into any pocket? There is no clear answer. But let's return to the smartphones in question - they have the same display size of 5.45 inches.

The smartphone screen is built on a good IPS matrix with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels (HD+). The backlight has an excellent minimum brightness threshold, allowing you to read the screen without visual fatigue even in complete darkness (the backlight does not flicker). The maximum brightness is sufficient for comfortable work outdoors in daylight conditions.

In the display settings, you can make fine calibration by moving a point on the color wheel. There is also a UV filter that allows you to shift the color gamut to the “red side” and thereby reduce eye strain.

In short, the smartphone display is clearly aimed at long-term and comfortable work - it gives a very soft, natural picture that does not hurt the eyes. Again, the 18:9 aspect ratio display makes it easy to use split-screen mode.

Who is better at what?

The confrontation between Honor 7x vs Honor 9 lite should start with operating systems. We won’t talk much about them, since it has already been noted that Android 8 in 9 lite is better than Android 7 in 7 X. This is a completely logical conclusion, since the older model should be more convenient, better balanced, and have more functionality. Even the style of the “eight” itself looks very nice in comparison with the 7th version. 9 lite definitely wins here.

Honor 9 lite and 7x have 2K displays, but they differ in size, which, at first glance, is insignificant, but if you look closely, this difference plays a very important role. The larger the screen, the lower the pixel density. But this is invisible to the naked eye. The larger display on the 7x entails some disadvantages in terms of ease of use. The main disadvantage of a large screen is the increased size and weight of the device, which can affect the ease of use of the gadget with one hand. Therefore, in this regard, 9 lite wins again.

Honor 9 lite

It is difficult to compare Honor 7x and Honor 9 light in terms of batteries, since although the models have different mAh amounts, there are some factors that equalize the operating time of the devices. First, the fact that the 7x has a larger screen negatively impacts its battery life. And it influences quite strongly. Secondly, Android 7 is slightly less optimized than Android 8, which can also negatively affect battery performance. In this regard, we can safely say that the devices have a draw in terms of autonomy.

In terms of cameras, any Honor is a good option, since this line has really excellent optics. Both devices have a dual-format camera, which makes them equally good in terms of colors and bokeh shots. The 7x has as much as 16 MP in the first camera module, which is clearly better than the 13 MP of the “nine”. But there is also a front camera, which the “seven” is not in the best condition. Here we see 8 MP versus 13+2 MP for the 9 lite. The difference in the main cameras, of course, affects the quality of the images, but not as much as the difference in the front ones. Although the 9 lite has a worse main camera, it can still take good pictures, but the 7x’s 8-megapixel front camera won’t allow you to take professional photos, so the 9 lite wins in terms of cameras.

Honor 9 lite

Each model has several modifications. Honor 7 X is presented on the market in 3 versions: with 32, 64, 128 GB of ROM. In all cases, RAM is 4 gigs. Honor 9 Lite has only 2 modifications: 32 and 64 GB of storage, the younger version has 3 GB of RAM, and the older version has 4 GB. But the processors installed are the same everywhere.

On the one hand, the difference may seem significant, but on the other hand, there are other factors that can affect battery life. For example, let's think about the size of screens - larger diagonals require more power. Therefore, in principle, the devices are the same in terms of autonomy, although the battery capacity is different.

These models also have differences in the camera. They are not very significant, but still play some role in the quality of shooting. Both models have a dual camera, the second module has a resolution of 2 megapixels. This lens module helps devices improve color gamut, create a good bokeh effect, and generally improve the quality of pictures. In this respect, smartphones are similar. But the first camera module is still different. The 7x will have a slightly better camera, since its first module has a resolution of 16 megapixels. The competitor has only 13 of them. This does not greatly affect the performance of the camera, but it is still a difference and worth mentioning.

In addition to the main cameras, there are significant differences in the front cameras. Here it’s the other way around, the 7x with the best main camera has an 8-megapixel front camera. This is a lot, it just may not be enough for high-quality selfies. The 9 lite, in turn, has a dual front camera, the first module is 13 megapixels, and the second is 2 megapixels. These are good characteristics for a selfie camera, since it will produce really high-quality portraits.

With all this, there is also Honor 8C for 12,990, which has an even larger screen, a 4000 mAh battery, and a dual rear camera.

The principle of assigning letters to Honor 8 smartphones is mysterious and mysterious. The model with the letter S is weaker than the model with the letter A, and the model with Honor 8C is more interesting than Honor 8A. At the same time, Honor 8A Pro is more expensive than all the smartphones listed in this paragraph, although in some ways it is inferior even to the Honor 8A model (in particular, the lack of NFC). Honor 8X, in turn, is generally the coolest. This cannot be understood logically.
