Menu - parameters - phone - language - input language - click on the desired one and you will see further. Press the button twice quickly to write in capital letters (in the alphanumeric keyboard). There is no T9 in the usual sense on FP2. There is only a choice of words. If you turn off word selection, then T9 will stop working.
Almost all mobile phones have a word selection function, but many users are interested in how to remove T9 in Nokia, since they never use it. Therefore, it is better to turn it off and type messages as usual.
What is T9 in a phone?
T9 is an auto-correction or auto-replacement function that works if you suddenly make a mistake while typing. It was introduced for phones with a keypad and selected probable words based on the first key presses. You only had to enter “at” and the language would add “hello” in its entirety. If you suddenly missed the right button, an automatic auto-correction occurred and your “hello” turned into a normal “hello”.
After the advent of modern smartphones with a qwerty layout of letters, this function has not lost its relevance and still significantly speeds up the typing function. In 90% of cases, the program correctly selects the necessary words, but does not cope well with slang or with the names of companies, programs, etc. The T9 keyboard for Android can be disabled if the user wishes, and then it can be turned on again when needed.
Adonis _
)
is an annual plant growing in the Balkans, Crimea in dry areas with disturbed soil, in wheat fields and in vegetable gardens. This is the summer adonis ( A. aetivum
) or the closely related flaming adonis (
A. flamnea
), which is used in Western Europe as an ornamental plant.
In Russia it is supplied from England in the form of seeds. But much more spectacular are perennial adonis with bright yellow shiny petals, characteristic of most ranunculaceae. Adonis Amur ( A. amurensis
) was introduced from the forests of the Far East, a shade-loving plant that blooms almost immediately after the snow melts.
Young, heavily dissected leaves of a chestnut hue are pubescent and successfully highlight the exquisite beauty of large flowers. At the end of May, spring Adonis ( A. vernalis
), a native of the steppe zone, blooms. Brilliant yellow flowers are located on stems 20-30 cm high, covered with light-green openwork leaves.
Reproduction of Adonis (Adonis)
Adonis reproduce by dividing the rhizome, but in the conditions of the middle zone, Adonis grow poorly and slowly. It is possible to divide the bush into several parts only after 8-10 years. Under the ground there are abundant black or dark brown roots on a short rhizome.
Caring for Adonis (Adonis)
Adonis, as a rule, tolerates the transplant, but takes a long time to adapt to the new place. If the buds of the current season are killed, then wait another season without digging up the plant. Perhaps regeneration will occur from spare buds. When planting Adonis, avoid acidic soils. In nature, they are able to grow even on pure limestone. Apply chalk and dolomite flour to the soil. Apply fertilizers in the first half of the growing season; after flowering, growth stops and the plant only needs phosphorus and potassium. It is useful to add dry cow manure when loosening. Adonis often bring the rhizome with buds to the surface due to soil subsidence or improper planting. Lightly hill up the plants for the winter, cut off the above-ground part. Although perennial adonis set seeds, growing plants from them in the middle zone is problematic. All parts of the plant contain biologically active substances, so the plant should be treated with caution. Adonis are not affected by pests and diseases, they are resistant to cold, but, apparently, they do not like the cool northern summer. Seedlings of both types are supplied from the Czech Republic and Holland in plastic pots with a closed root system. Adonis are rarely available for sale.

Convenient speed dialing on a push-button telephone
If you often need to dial a certain number, then it makes sense to set up a speed dial feature. It appeared back in the days of push-button mobile phones and confirmed its usefulness. Subsequently, this function migrated to smartphones with touch screens.
On a push-button device, speed dialing is achieved by holding down the assigned key with a specific number for one and a half seconds. Activating this function on smartphones with the Android operating system is carried out slightly differently. Typically, a user needs to add shortcuts to their desktop. The exact algorithm of actions depends on the brand and model of your device.
Easy shutdown of T9
Disabling this feature differs slightly on different phone models. Some may have the following sequence:
- create a new message;
- click on “Functions”;
- select “T9 Settings”;
- then “Intelligent input”;
- Click "Disable".
Or another similar one:
- create a new message;
- "Functions";
- click “Settings”;
- then “T9 Dictionary” - “Disable”.
And one more thing: also create a message - then “Functions” - select “Disable T9 mode”.
In many Nokia models, when writing a message, the predictive text input mode is indicated by the icon: a pencil with a line, and the regular input mode is indicated by a pencil without a line.
To switch between these modes when entering text, you need to press and hold "Options".
Shutdown procedure
This is not at all difficult to do and anyone can do it. The shutdown procedure is very similar on all phones. Here are a few steps that you can follow to achieve the desired result.
That's all. By following these steps, you will no longer have to constantly be distracted by correcting words. And you can easily replace the T9 mode with a voice input function, for example. Maybe you will find it more convenient. But we must warn you in advance that there are some shortcomings there too. In case you suddenly want to return T9 to your phone again, you need to repeat all the steps that we described above. It is important to note that not all mobile phone manufacturers allow the user to independently disable typing using T9 on their device. Apart from T9, your device can also offer auto word correction on your device, which is also considered not a very convenient feature for some people. In this case, it can also be disabled without much effort by following our sequence. The disabling procedure is as similar as possible to disabling the word prediction function -T9. So, in order to disable the auto-correct function on Android you need to:
- Step 1: Open the phone menu.
- Step 2: Go to the “Settings” section.
- Step 3: Click on “Keyboard and input settings”.
- Step 4: Click on the name of the installed keyboard you are using;
- Step 5: Then select the section called “Text Correction”;
- Step 6: In this section, disable all functions you do not need, including auto-correction.
That's all. This is very easy to do, independently and without contacting a service center. We hope that our guide was useful to you and that we were able to make your life easier. Manage your mobile device with ease, it's easy.
How to disable T9 © MegeByte
In order to speed up text entry from the small keyboard of a mobile device, manufacturers equip them with predictive input systems. On push-button devices this was the T9 mode, which significantly reduces the number of keystrokes. For some time, Nokia provided this type of dialing on touch devices, but over time everyone switched to the QWERTY/QUKEN layout.
These days, T9 usually means autocorrection and automatic word selection. On Samsung this parameter is still called that way, while on iPhone or Huawei the names are different.
Sometimes autocorrection is convenient, but sometimes it leads to unexpected consequences. Because of one typo, the system may select a word that is not the one you originally entered, and the messages take on a completely new meaning. Also, T9 systems are not very friendly with neologisms, slang words and abbreviations that are not a literary norm. Therefore, sometimes you have to turn off autocorrect on Samsung, Huawei or iPhone.
A little about T9
This word selection mode makes text entry easier and helps you type SMS messages much faster. However, you need to get used to working with it. The phone has a dictionary of frequently used words.
Predictive text input mode selects options based on the buttons you press. But some different words are typed using the same sequence of buttons.
For example, you can press 5282 to dial: “our”, “Masha”, “Pasha”, so before sending an SMS you need to make sure that you have typed the word you were going to.
In addition, you can add your own words: in the pop-up window with suggested spelling options, you need to select the bottom line “Add a word.”
T9 function in WhatsApp
In order to understand in principle what we are talking about, let’s talk briefly about what this function is and why it was invented in the first place. The name comes from the English phrase “ text on 9 keys ” or text on 9 buttons. The fact is that old push-button phones had several letters for each mechanical key, hence the name.
On older phones, T9 made it easier to type a word or the correct letter, since without this feature you had to press a key several times to get the desired phrase. Built-in algorithms read the number of your clicks and what word you came up with, remembered it, and subsequently reproduced it on the screen. As practice has shown, this speeds up typing by 200-300%. Only in version 5.1 did it become possible to continue a word, part of which you had already written. And the first phone equipped with T9 was the Sagem MC 850.
In modern smartphones, such functionality is practically not used due to the stripped-down, but more convenient virtual keyboard. Now T9 refers to error correction and word prediction algorithms built into the keyboard.
How to make T9 in WhatsApp? You will learn about this at the end of the article. You can immediately scroll to the desired moment.
Advantages and disadvantages of the T9 system
We have already mentioned the advantages in passing - this speeds up the typing of text messages several times, compared to the usual input on push-button phones. The word continuation or auto-correction function is also used in modern phones.
The operating model also consists of remembering the text that a person enters while using the device, and then playing it back if certain conditions are met. So we can’t say that T9 has completely disappeared from modern smartphones, it’s just changed and has a different name.
As for the shortcomings, at the dawn of its existence, this system constantly malfunctioned and produced extra words or entire phrases, incorrectly replaced endings, and offered incorrect spelling options.
There were whole legends about this on the Internet, and there were a lot of jokes and memes related to the use of T9 in correspondence with family or a girlfriend/boyfriend.
Be that as it may, technology does not stand still, and today correction algorithms work according to the principles of old developments. If everything is clear with this, let's talk about how to enable and disable T9 in WhatsApp on different devices.
How to disable T9 on iPhone
On the iPhone, the T9 function is called “Auto Correction”, and it is located in the settings section of the smartphone. To disable autocorrect, you need to open the “Settings” application, find the “General” item there, the “Keyboard” sub-item. In the menu that opens, you will see switches for text printing options.
In order to deactivate T9 on iPhone, you need to move the checkboxes of the required parameters to the inactive state. The Auto-Capitals option is responsible for automatically selecting capital letters at the beginning of a sentence, paragraph, or after a period. “Auto-correction” corrects words if the system deems that you have made a typo; the “Spelling” item also has similar functions. The Predictive Typing option allows iPhone to guess what you want to write and suggest a continuation of the sentence.
By disabling the mentioned options, you will turn off T9 on your iPhone. After this, the device will enter exactly what you pressed on the screen (even if your finger misses).
