Let's start with the fact that the buffer zone is a special place on the screen where installed applications can display their own notifications. For example, this could be advertising or information about completing the next level in the game. On Huawei and Honor smartphones, this term usually refers to the lower part of the display, although on other phones the situation may differ significantly.

If you have at least once recorded a video from your device’s screen, you will have definitely noticed that the program requires permission to overlay it on top of other windows. Why is this necessary? Often, there is a quick control button on the display (used to start, pause, or end shooting). So this could also mean that the application has gained access to the buffer zone.

Setting up a buffer zone on a smartphone

Find “Application Manager” on your desktop and open it.

Next, open the “Buffer Zone” section.

Here you will see a list of applications that can open the buffer zone.

If you want to disable them all or some individual applications, simply move the switch next to the application to the “Off” position, for example:

Thus, the specified application will not be able to open the buffer zone, that is, send notifications.
