The screen has Full HD resolution and the diagonal is 5.2 inches. The colors are quite clear and bright. Brightness adjustment can be either automatic or manual.

The smartphone is equipped with an eight-core Kirin 950 processor, which allows the device to work quickly. RAM is 4 GB, and internal memory can be either 32 GB or 64 GB.

Design and ergonomics

The new product received a traditional design in the best traditions of the brand. In Russia, the smartphone is sold in gold, black and dark blue colors. In the first case, the front panel is white, in the second and third - black. A model in dark blue came to us for testing - perhaps the most stylish and successful color of the three.

The device is housed in a monolithic case, the back of which is made of pleasant metal. It is almost matte and does not slip in the hand.

The main camera module is located in the upper left corner: two sensors and an LED flash. You can see a small dot nearby - this is a noise reduction microphone. The fingerprint scanner is located in the center of the back. This is acceptable for the budget segment, but in more expensive devices you would like to see a fingerprint sensor on the front panel.

At the bottom of the rear panel there is an almost invisible brand logo and markings.

The side edges of Honor 7C are plastic, rounded and glossy, making it very comfortable to hold the smartphone in your hand.

On the left is a staple-removable hybrid tray for SIM cards and a memory card.

On the right side there is a volume rocker and a power key. The location is familiar and time-tested, the buttons are pressed clearly and do not dangle.

On the top edge you can find a 3.5 mm audio jack.

At the bottom end, the designers placed symmetrical speaker perforations and a microUSB connector for charging.

At the front there is a widescreen screen with regular side frames. It is inappropriate to talk about framelessness here.

Above the display are the front camera, flash, microphone, sensors and an event indicator (in the upper left corner). On the black front panel these elements are almost invisible.

Below the screen is an empty space with the Honor logo. The “Menu”, “Back” and “Home” buttons are touch sensitive.

The quality of the smartphone’s materials is high—the device feels solid and well-assembled. It is impossible to notice creaks, backlashes and other defects here. We especially praise the excellent metal design of the back, as mentioned above.

The phone arrived for review without a box or accessories, but with a fairly high-quality factory film glued to the screen. Its only drawback is its mediocre oleophobic coating.

For its price, in terms of design, build quality and materials used, the Honor 7C deserves the highest rating. Holding the gadget in your hands is comfortable and pleasant - its thickness is only 8.05 mm and its weight is 155 grams.

The downsides begin. The glossy plastic case is beautiful, but extremely impractical; it intensively collects scratches and fingerprints - you will have to hide it in a case anyway. The heart of the smartphone is the modern Helio P35 chipset, made using a 12nm process technology. Thanks to it, even with a modest battery capacity, the phone demonstrates decent autonomy - enough for a day, or even a day and a half on one charge with moderate use. It has a nice screen and, perhaps, the best camera under 10 thousand rubles. Also, many will be pleased with the loud speaker and the ability to simultaneously install two SIM cards and a memory card. You can find fault with 2 GB of RAM, but if you are not particularly demanding about the speed of your phone, 8A will be an excellent purchase.
