How to sign out of Google account without performing a factory reset

The fact is that when trying to delete their Google or Gmail account from settings, many users receive the following message:

“This account is required for some applications to work. You can only delete it if you perform a factory reset (which will delete all your personal data).”

Naturally, such a warning raises many questions for some people. Those users who have never dealt with the Android OS before are especially worried.

To reset your Google account without restoring factory settings, you can use two methods.

Method 1.

Open Settings.
Go to the Accounts section.
Select Your Google Account > Menu.
Select “Remove account”.

If this method doesn't work, try the second one:

Method 2.

Open Root Explorer or a similar system file manager.
Open the data/system folder and delete the “accounts.bd” file.
If you cannot find the file with the db extension, open the data/ system/ sync folders and delete the “accounts.xml” file.

Important: You need to open folders from your phone from the root directory of Android (internal memory of the device). If you open the data folder in the root directory of a microSD card that is being used as external storage, you will not find the system folder in it.

How to Bypass FRP on Huawei Y3 2021

Unfortunately, the problem with activating a new Google account occurs quite often when a smartphone is purchased second-hand. But there are 2 ways out of the situation:

official;
informal.

These names of FRP bypass methods are very arbitrary. But they adequately explain what operation the user will have to perform. In the first case, a person must contact the previous owner of the smartphone to reset their Google account. In the second option, FRP is bypassed using your own means without previously used account data.

Official version

The method assumes that the current owner of the Huawei Y3 2021 smartphone has the opportunity to contact its previous owner. To officially reset Factory Reset Protection, you will need your old Google account information: linked email address and password.

In the welcome window or phone settings, enter the details of your previous account.
Log in to your PC in the same way.
On your computer, unlink your smartphone from the list of suggested devices.

Similar to the previous method, go to the “Restore and Reset” menu, roll back the smartphone to factory settings and reboot.

Whichever reset method the user chooses, after restarting it will be possible to enter your Google account information. The FRP feature should be disabled.

How to log out of Google account after a hard reboot

The methods described above are not perfect. Firstly, they are not applicable to all phones, and secondly, it is not safe to give your own, even a former smartphone, into the wrong hands if some data remains on it. It is safer to erase all unnecessary information and return the device to its original state. However, not all so simple.

Recently, all Android smartphones have been using a new security option called FRP - Factory Reset Protection. Basically, only experienced users who often update the firmware of their phones know about it, and, of course, specialists from service centers, where they bring devices that are blocked after a hard reboot.

FRP does not make life difficult for the average user. This option is needed in order to protect important data (passwords, banking information, photos, etc.). Any attempt by an attacker in whose hands the phone is to gain access to data, and this may involve flashing the firmware to reset locking passwords and using specialized software, will require you to enter your login and password for your Google account.

But what if the phone needs to be returned to its “just out of the box” state, but FRP protection does not allow this?

What is the problem with FRP function?

One of the innovations of the developers of the Android operating system was the latest protection system, which appeared on devices starting with version 5.1. This function (Factory Reset Protection or FRP lock) is as follows: if the smartphone is lost or stolen, the owner will be able to lock his gadget, after which, without a login/password pair from a Google account, the phone will not be subject to further use. The same protection will also work if you try to do a hard reset.

But how can we bypass our Google account if we reset the settings ourselves, for example, when flashing the device or deleting the pattern? In addition, there are often cases when the system does not accept the correct password/login.

In any case, when you first start the device and try to access the wi-fi network, a request will appear on the smartphone screen to confirm your Google account on Android:

Easy Method to Reset Google Account

So, a factory reset has been done, and in order to be able to use the phone again, Google account verification is required. Registration data is either not accepted by the system or forgotten by the user.

Detailed instructions:

We connect the phone to the Wi-Fi network powered by the router (this is important!). Enter the password to log into the network.

Check the “Advanced” box in the network settings.
In the "Proxy Server" menu o.

In the “Proxy server port” field, enter 8080. Click “Connect”. And then in a new window “Next”.

We automatically go to the previous “Network Connection” window. It should display a message written in red letters “No Internet access. Check your router or contact your service provider." This message may not appear the first time, so the connection process will have to be repeated.

We accept the terms of the agreement and select the country/region.
Scroll to the right on the information screens (Advice, Service, Me) until the HiCare screen opens.
Click “Start”. We give permission to access geodata. We accept the terms of use of Huawei Push.

Select "Reboot".
